PRA Ranks #46 in Global “Best Think Tank Network” List

Property Rights Alliance (PRA) ranked #46 in the world for “Best Think Tank Network” on the 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index.
The Index is published by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program at the University of Pennsylvania, which researches the role that public policy organizations play in societies around the world. The Global Go To Think Tank Index ranks the world’s top think tanks in various categories.
Organizations are nominated to be placed on the Index by fellow think tanks and journalists, and then a large panel consisting of experts from every region collectively rank the organizations. The think tanks are judged by criteria such as “impact on society,” “reputation with policymakers,” and “the quality and reputation of the research and analysis provided.”
The Best Think Tank Network list ranked 86 organizations from 41 countries based on the above criteria plus their “ability to expand, mobilize and nurture a network efficiently.” Property Rights Alliance was one of 14 American-based think tanks to be placed on the list. Two of PRA’s global partners, the IMANI Center for Policy and Education and the Austrian Economics Center, were also placed on the Best Think Tank Network list.

Property Rights Alliance has placed in the top 50 organizations on the Best Think Tank Network list every year since the category was created in 2013.
Currently, the Property Rights Alliance counts over a hundred think tanks spanning the globe as members of its network dedicated to protecting the rights of inventors to own their work and to innovate solutions to everyday challenges. In 2019 the Property Rights Alliance launched the International Trade Barrier Index, a powerful tool to leverage the global network into greater domestic, international, and multi-lateral work analyzing the effects of burdensome trade regulations.
